Gems of the Prairie
Gems of the Prairie Quilt Guild is for quilters of all
skill levels
from Peoria and the surrounding area.
The monthly meetings consist
of a program which
can be a lecture
or demonstration, optional block
and fabric exchanges, and the all
important
Show and Tell.
Throughout
the year, work is done on our service
projects and our annual raffle
quilt. Monthly
workshops,
quilt challenges ,
and round robins are
offered to our members as a means of developing
and improving their skills as a quilter. Some of our
workshops are
devoted to our service projects
while others are given by members
or by
well-known teachers.
Gems of the
Prairie was established in 1990,
and is conducted on a non-for-profit
basis.
Officers are elected in August with the term
of office beginning
in January.
